Disney Announces Its Next "Live Action" Film

It's no secret that Disney is always looking to make money off our Disney nostalgia. We've already seen Emma Watson as Belle in Beauty And The Beast, Will Smith as the Genie in Aladdin, and Beyonce as Nala in The Lion King. Now, Disney is again going to take a classic and give it a revamp, and they have announced a remake of the 1970s, The Aristocats. The announcement came a few days ago, joining the long list of other upcoming Disney remakes, including:

Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers (release April 8, 2022, Cast: Andy Samberg and John Mulaney)

Peter Pan and Wendy (release July of this year, Cast: Jude Law and Jim Gaffigan)

Hocus Pocus 2 (original cast, set to release in October)

Disenchanted (ten years after Enchanted, Giselle questions her happiness, release date November 2022)

Pinocchio (release date Dec 2022, Cast: Tom Hanks, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Director: Robert Zemeckis)

The Little Mermaid (release date 2023, Cast: Halle Berry, Mellisa McCarthy, Javier Bardem)

Snow White (August 11, 2023, Cast: Gal Gadot, Rachel Zegler)

Shrunk (another Honey We Shrunk the Kids

Hercules (Spring 2024, Producers: Russo Brothers)

Lilo and Stitch (a Disney + exclusive, complete CGI)

The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Josh Gad rumored to play Quasimodo)

Inspector Gadget (no release date)

Robin Hood (a Disney + exclusive)

Rapunzel (not considered a remake of Tangled)

The Sword In The Stone (a Disney+ exclusive, possibly directed by Ridley Scott)

Genie (a story about the Genie from Aladdin

Night On Bald Mountain (yes from Fantasia

Bambi (completely CGI)

As you can clearly see, we have a lot of Disney coming our way, and in my opinion, movies that really don't need remakes. There are some I'm intrigued about, if it's the right cast and if they tell the right story but if it's an exact remake of the original film, it'll be a hard pass for me.
