Can We Talk About Loki's Season Finale And The Special Guest?

First, this series definitely needed a second season, and that's where I'll leave this paragraph because people can see these words and it's about to get spoiler heavy! Just know this episode wasn't super action-packed because they were introducing one or maybe THEE villain in the next phase of the MCU.

So Loki and Sylvie come upon Chronopolis at the end of episode 4 (I'll find time to blog on that later because you actually see it in Ant-Man And The Wasp) and run into who some predicted - He Who Remains. He was a scientist in the year 3000 who discovered the timelines and then created the TVA. One of the versions he explains was a conqueror who we know as Kang the Conqueror. This villain is going to play a big role in this next phase of the MCU. Why? Kang in the comics creates variants of himself to take over different timelines and one or several comes in contact with the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.

Kang's whole goal is world domination (haven't heard that before), and we are expected to be introduced to him in Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. But we also know He Who Remains is all-knowing - knowing what's going to happen and when in any given timeline which makes this all the more interesting.

And what about Sylvie? She thought Loki was a liar and threw him back into the TVA while she stabbed He Who Remains out of revenge. Maybe we'll see her in Dr. Strange Into The Multiverse? Where is she going to head next?

I'm personally just happy to see Loki get another character arc, realizing that his past self who wanted to always rule changed his ways for the greater good.

Where do we see this going?

As far as we know of movies that are happening in the near future, we know that Scott Lang (Ant-Man) has access to time travel, which we learned about in Endgame, and will have more Pym Particles since we all brought Dr. Hank Pym backThis is going to be a fun movie, isn't it? Too bad we have to wait till 2023 to see it... thanks COVID. Hope and Scott will meet some variant of Kang in that film whether it's an older one or a younger one we don't know.

Introducing Kang is also a great way to bring other franchises into the MCU like X-Men and Fantastic Four, which were previously solely owned by Sony (say that five times fast). We learned recently that Deadpool is now in the MCU and I mean it's a matter of time for these other franchises to join the fray.

Further questions I have: How is this going to tie into the Secret Invasion? (again future blog coming for this one) We learned about this at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming or maybe the Secret Invasion won't be involved at all?

Either way, sorry for rambling, my head is exploding with questions, questions that need answering.
